Caroline Hú's SS25 show titled "Reverie," is a heartfelt exploration of the myriad emotions that come from our connections with family, friends, and the world around us. Hú beautifully captured the essence of love, not just its joy but also its shadows.
Read MoreIf you remember last season’s show with that fabulous pink backdrop, this one was just as immersive. Models sauntered across a set designed to evoke the carefree elegance of a beach day, perfectly capturing that relaxed yet sophisticated spirit.
Read MoreFlorentina Leitner's SS25 at PFW was nothing short of magical! I still can’t believe I made it up five flights of stairs to this charming little French parlor on the "4th" floor (a French 4th floor is an American 5th). When I finally arrived, the staff were in a bit of a frenzy trying to find me a seat. But you know what? I politely declined. I had a hunch that standing right by the entrance would give me the best shots, and as suspected, was I right. The allocation felt like the "economy plus" of fashion shows, gave me just enough of what I needed.
Read MorePerched precariously over a railing at a Paris Metro station, I witnessed a spectacle that most attendees would never have imagined. The makeshift backstage area, set in the street outside the café venue, was a hive of frenzied activity. Show producers, visibly stressed, shouted instructions in rapid-fire French, their voices carrying urgency and frustration. Yet, amidst this chaos, the models emerged from the building with an air of serenity, each one a vision of poise and beauty.
Read MoreWaiting in line to get into the show is half the fun. The que is full of beautifully put together Japanese influencers and Parisian socialites. There's nothing quite like it. The runway itself was a spectacle, colored in a striking gradation of vitamin orange that set the stage for an unforgettable show. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the ethnic and contemporary sounds performed by the Slovenian trio Širom, creating a dynamic backdrop for the collection.
Read MoreAs I arrived at La Résidence de la Muette, the ambiance shifted dramatically, reminiscent of lounging by a pool in California rather than navigating through the cold drizzle of Paris. This remarkable transformation was not just a visual delight but a testament to Kegels' ability to evoke feelings of warmth and glamour amid less-than-ideal conditions.
Read MoreTrue to his signature style, Pressiat seamlessly blended the streets of Paris with its vibrant nightlife. The collection showcased a unique juxtaposition of softness and assertive lines. Earthy tones like ochre, brown, burgundy, and cactus green dominated the palette, while figure-hugging silhouettes in floor-sweeping skirts and dresses contrasted beautifully with petal-layered miniskirts.
Read MoreThis season, Ouest took us behind the dodgy looking curtain at the very back of the video rental store and unveiled the world of the Ouest man. Kitschy, sexy, tongue in cheek and around lollipops at this presentation.
Read MoreThe show starts off with a string quartet and experimental sounds were being played on violins. Initially it sounded like insects, but then it started to get a little creepy feeling. By the time the vocals came in I was properly a little freaked out. It sounded like a soundtrack to a horror movie. It was extremely eerie and intense. The vocals were more intense as a show went on and it really begged the question, what am I missing here? The clothing itself doesn't seem spooky or horror themed ...what will I see upon a closer look?

Using his trademarked ANVISUAL photochromatic technology, he creates a series of transparent "empty" garments and uses UV light to transform them.
Read MoreA performance artist was reading a poem written by the designer in French about the human experience, or rather the human workhorse. Life was described as just non-stop work and enjoying a small morsel of the fruits of our labor until one day we inevitably perish.
Read MoreSituated on the famed Avenue Montaigne, the Ungaro showroom was nestled on the second floor of a beautifully traditional Parisian building. The stylish showroom featured large doors with hidden entryways and a traditional fashion salon that has been updated through the decades. A full spread of desserts and canapes and free-flowing coffee was warmly awaiting visitors. Upon arrival the staff was beautifully accommodating and so welcoming, this visit was my magic moment number 7.
Read MoreAfter about 20 minutes when everybody has settled in the blue lights started to fade away and we can see each other in our true presentations once again. Beautifully dressed attendees, socialites and starlets. Industry professionals with their cameras and phones ready. The first model in a long fringed blue capelet shredded through the sculpture and into the room.
Read MoreWelcome to The Fashion Bowl. Although that was not the official title of Meryll Rogge's AW23 show, it really should have been. From the moment you walked down into the underground tunnel you knew you were in for a treat. The double doors opened to a time capsule, a beautifully maintained 80s bowling alley in the middle of Paris. Who knew?! A nostalgic soundtrack played, I could not get Billy Idol's "Eyes Without a Face" out of my head for days.
Read MoreI've never been a churchgoer, and definitely not in the mornings. But I was happy to go to church the morning of the Roisin Pierce show. It was a brisk and sunny morning and the walk to the American Church in Paris was a beautiful one along the Seine. Arriving at such a serene place added to the magic of the week and I will consider this magical moment number 4.
Read MoreAnrealage has always been a brand that paid special attention to the technology in clothing. This was just another fantastic example of the next level that textile science could be taken to. Although the technology is not new, it was seen in the '80s with hyper shirts and gloves that changed color in temperature or light exposure, the reinvention of it for high fashion seemed revolutionary.
Read MoreThe Dawei show was intensely packed. Then suddenly, as if on que, a hush blanketed the crowd and light-hearted classical music commenced. The first look I saw was a corseted handkerchief hem dress in black. Admittedly, it was a little hard to see through the crowd but I can tell that it moved beautifully and the texture was just pure luxury.
Read MoreVIPs flooded the entryway to the famed Le Palace in Paris for the Celine Homme AW23 Show, a celebration of fashion, music and the cultural heritage of the iconic venue. It was like walking through a portal back to 1978, the height of this venue's nightclub incarnation.
