Rochas SS25
Rochas has enchanted us all again with their SS25 collection titled "Parure Pour Le Sable". This show was a delightful homage to the brand’s rich history, all while bringing a fresh, breezy vibe to the stage. Held at the Théâtre du Châtelet, the set was nothing short of magical, with a dreamy sandy seaside backdrop that made you feel like you were stepping right into a sun-soaked day at the beach.
If you remember last season’s show with that fabulous pink backdrop, this one was just as immersive. Models sauntered across a set designed to evoke the carefree elegance of a beach day, perfectly capturing that relaxed yet sophisticated spirit. Creative director Alessandro Vigilante truly outdid himself, channeling the essence of Marcel Rochas and his love for eccentric yet chic designs. It felt like a celebration of summer, where every piece was crafted to embody joy and lightness.
The color palate was a brilliant representation of a refined beach day. Gone were the traditional nautical hues. Instead, we were treated to a refreshing mix of coastal shades like sandy beige, rust, turquoise blue, and sunny yellow. Each garment flowed beautifully, made from airy materials that danced with movement. Metallic crinkled cottons and woven tweeds played together in layered looks that felt both playful and sophisticated. Daisy lace added just the right touch of whimsy, making everything feel a bit more relaxed, undone..
Vigilante really captured that dandy spirit of Marcel Rochas with pieces inspired by his iconic 1940s style. Imagine tonal brocade jackets paired with woven linen blouses featuring cute patch pockets, so chic! And let’s not forget those tropical wool pencil skirts that grounded the collection in effortless elegance. The collection also embraced playful touches like fil coupé striped satin and polka dot tulle, giving a nod to Rochas's haute couture legacy. It all came together in such a way that felt effortlessly stylish, like you could just throw it on and stroll down the Côte d’Azur without a care in the world.
Overall, the Rochas SS25 presentation was an experience filled with warmth and beauty. Alessandro Vigilante has truly breathed new life into this storied brand while respecting its heritage. As we left the Théâtre du Châtelet, it felt like we were carrying a piece of that seaside magic with us, a reminder to embrace elegance in every moment. How lovely is that?
