KIMHĒKIM SS25

Picture this: Me, racing through the streets of Paris, battling traffic like a woman on a mission. What should have been a breezy 35 minute jaunt turned into an agonizing hour and 9 minutes of pure frustration. As I finally arrived at the Faculté de pharmacie de Paris, my heart sank, the gates were closing right before my eyes. But we don't give up that easily, do we? Armed with my trusty camera and a hefty dose of determination, I did what any self-respecting fashion blogger would do, I peeked through the gates and snapped away as the models made their near final walks.

From what I could glimpse, KIMHĒKIM's "Dreamers" collection was truly a dream come true. The brainchild of the talented Kimintē KimhēKim, this show paid homage to all the dreamers out there, transforming everyday items into haute couture masterpieces. Imagine, if you will, pillows and blankets reimagined as strapless tops and draped dresses. Trench coats casually thrown over sleepwear, creating a look that's both relaxed and utterly chic. And let's not forget the whimsical touches inspired by dream icons like Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe. The collection featured dreamy pink spray printing and handwritten prints, a nod to those hazy moments just after waking from a vivid dream. Kimintē's personal touch was evident in the pencil and notebook details adorning berets and sneakers, a charming reflection of his note-taking habits.

While I may have missed the full spectacle, word on the street is that the finale was nothing short of magical. It looked great from the garden gates at least. Models collapsed on the runway as if falling asleep, symbolizing the audience's journey into a shared dreamscape. Alas, official photographs remain elusive even after several requests. But fear not! I'm already plotting my revenge for next season. Mark my words, I'll be front and center, camera at the ready to bring you every detail of KIMHĒKIM's next masterpiece. We can all dream big.
