Two for the Road
Victoria/Tomas SS22
It has been way too long since I have attended a physical show and I feel that this may be the last season that I miss out on. Nothing inspires me to get back out there more than the Victoria/Tomas SS22 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week. This dynamic design duo showcased their ready to wear collection to a delighted crowd. The design aesthetic is well thought out, following in the footsteps of the last collection which presented entirely reversible clothing produced in France. Each ensemble can be worn two different ways and can easily carry from daytime to evening. The concept is centered around conscious consumerism and how we can do so much more with less. Invest wisely, an investment in our personal style is a conscious move towards the way we consume.
Utilitarian parkas and easily chic trench coats fly down the runway with swishing long fringed pieces. There is no need to sacrifice dramatic expression for utilitarianism. Bold prints in neon green are anchored by shades of taupe and obsidian. This collection goes above and beyond it's initial concept of multi-wear. This is fashion engineering and design at its best.
