Rocky Star SS25

As the sun began to set over London, the energy of the city was palpable, especially for Sabrina and me as we made our way to the Rocky Star SS25 show at London Fashion Week. The vibe was decidedly '90s, and we couldn’t help but belt out SWV's "Weak" as we strolled up the street, much to the amusement of passersby. While our singing might not have earned us a spot on any charts, it certainly added to the excitement of the evening.

Arriving at St John's Church, we were greeted by a large crowd eagerly awaiting entry. One thing I’ve noticed about London Fashion Week compared to Paris is the more casual approach to queuing. In Paris, there’s usually a Press line that feels a bit more organized, but here in London, it’s all about waiting your turn. Just as my patience was wearing thin and I feared we’d miss the show, the doors swung open, and we were ushered inside.

This marked my first Rocky Star show, a moment I had long anticipated. In previous seasons, timing had never aligned for me to attend, but I had always admired the collection assets sent my way after each show. I was ready to see what Rocky Star had in store for us firsthand. Rocky Star's "Blush Éclat" SS25 collection was nothing short of enchanting. It celebrated the poetry of spring with a delicate dance of soft pastels—ivory, blush pink, and a touch of midnight black. The collection seemed to embody girlhood just on the cusp of discovering that there is an edgier, playful and outstandingly curious world out there, like Alice in Wonderland grows up...a little. The collection featured print-on-print florals and soft fabrics, Whimsical frills and glittering sequins added an element of wild excitement while subtle embroidery enhanced each outfit's elegance.

As I watched the models stride down the runway, I became increasingly obsessed with every look presented. The modern boho aesthetic infused with opulence and an edgy twist resonated deeply with me. If I could curate a dream closet, it would undoubtedly be filled with pieces from this collection, each one intoxicatingly beautiful and perfectly aligned with my personal style.

Rocky Star’s vision for this collection was clear: to invite women to embrace spring with joy through their wardrobe choices. Each ensemble told a story, reflecting effortless beauty and inviting us all to celebrate the season's arrival. As we left St John's Church that evening, Sabrina and I couldn’t stop discussing our favorite looks from the show. The Rocky Star SS25 collection was not just a display of fashion; it was an experience that captured the essence of Spring/Summer in all its glory. It left us inspired and eager to see how these styles would influence our own wardrobes in the months to come.
