KNWLS SS25

The KNWLS show at London Fashion Week was a long-awaited highlight for me, akin to Edina Monsoon from Absolutely Fabulous desperately trying to gain Stella McCartney's favor. "What? No KNWLS?" I found myself asking every season until, finally, an invite arrived.

I was thrilled to secure a top spot for the show, ensuring I could capture stunning images of the collection. And let me tell you, this season did not disappoint! The incorporation of corsetry and truly wearable sportswear resulted in a collection that was decisively sexy yet accessible. This kind of sexy isn't just for the perfect-bodied sirens, it transforms the wearer into their most daring selves while remaining comfortably within their comfort zones.

Models strutted down the runway in oversized jackets cinched at the waist to create illusory corsets, while extended sleeves and fluttering ribbons added a whimsical touch. The collection featured a mix of textures that appealed to both visual and tactile senses. A range of deep hues and vibrant shades reflected a dynamic approach to seasonal trends. Collaborations with Stephen Jones introduced leather helmet-like fascinators, adding sophistication to the edgy aesthetic.

KNWLS is renowned for its irreverent take on femininity, layering corsets over patterned mesh and tasteful cut-outs that accentuate the body. This season's designs explored exaggerations of the female form while maintaining a sense of elegance and wearability. The collection expanded into eveningwear, drawing inspiration from couture icons like Balenciaga and Madame Grès. The KNWLS show was more than just a fashion presentation; it was a celebration of empowerment through design. With their SS25 collection, Charlotte Knowles and Alexander Arsenault have once again proven their ability to blend edgy aesthetics with a strong message. As we look forward to future collections, KNWLS remains a brand that not only sets trends but also encourages women to embrace their boldest selves.
