Blue Marble AW20

Blue Marble was the last show of day 1 of Paris Men’s Fashion Week for me. Although I felt like a complete zombie from the jet lag I suspect that was why I was able to stand outside in the enormous line for almost an hour in the drizzling rain. Looking around at the crowd I was definitely standing with the chicest crowd in streetwear. Tiny sunglasses, bejeweled hair accessories and plenty of neon pleather jackets and ostentatious printed satin pajamas surrounded me. When the doors finally opened the crowd stared to very slowly push in.

This season, Blue Marble was inspired by British culture via Scotland specifically. Football (European) and golf were the influences that collided with Anthony Alvarez’s signature streetwear aesthetics. This exciting collection offered plenty of eye candy as tartans paired with fringe, flounced shirts were worn with joggers and animal prints appeared on classic silhouettes. I personally was drawn to the new renditions of the classic rugby shirts. This flashy collection was worth the wait in the rain.
