Litkovska AW24

As I arrived at the upscale boutique that has been repurposed for the Litskova presentation, I was immediately offered some green tea at the door. When we walked in, there were tree branches arched in the entry with scraps of fabric that contained the words of well-wishers for Ukraine. Moving further along into the space, I saw a station set up with postcards that you could write. Further back was where the fashion presentation took place, and a man with an electric guitar was ready to start the show.

The Litskova AW24 collection was a powerful statement of the brand's commitment to sustainability and its support for Ukraine. The designer, Lilia Litkovska, has always been known for her ecological approach to fashion, and this collection was no exception. Traditional symbols of Himalayan culture were integrated into the aesthetics of the fashion show, emphasizing the message of a similar future, full of peace, kindness, and empathy, that Litkovska sees for Ukraine after its victory.

Litkovska has been around since 2009. Coming from a family of tailors for four generations, Litkovska has always maintained the traditions of the past while aligning them with the future. Her designs seamlessly blend the masculine and the feminine, creating garments that are both strong and delicate, just like the mountains and seas that inspire her. Litkovska's collections are a testament to her belief that yesterday's things, with the magic of the past, can be overlaid with thoughts of tomorrow. Her designs are crafted to carry the deeds of today, empowering mothers and daughters to be both fragile and fierce, free to be who they are.
