Natan Haute Couture SS23
As I walked into the extravagantly elegant Hotel de Crillon at the Place de la Concorde I was eagerly anticipating the unveiling of Natan's Spring Summer '23 haute couture collection. I happened upon an impromptu photoshoot at the foyer where a model moved exquisitely in a periwinkle silk gown with an expressive scarf and the thinnest of spaghetti straps. Each movement flowed effortlessly into the next like a ballet dancer's routine.
As I entered the showroom I was taken in by a striking red high neck gown adorned with rich layers of box pleats. Then a gorgeous pair of multi colored feathered stilettos caught my eye. They were an absolute dream in cerulean, fuchsia and ivory upon a golden yellow silk frame. As I wandered through the space, pops of feathery color were seen everywhere. Rich, high energy, vibrant colors on garments that were designed for movement and expression. Satin, sequins, paillettes and silk...a wardrobe made for the queen in all of us.
Elegance, mindfulness, passion for the craft, attention to detail and beauty make up the undeniably chic identity of the House. This new couture collection, created by the Natan team, resonates with energy and was designed for movement. Creative Director Edouard Vermeulen plays with shapes, light and texture. He interprets the summer palette in bi- and tri-color variations, with flamboyant accessories.
The Natan House featured draped skirts paired with open-backed tops, plunging necklines and exuberant feathers. The Spring-Summer Couture 2023 collection stays true to the House's heritage, injecting more rebellious accents. The Natan SS23 collection transforms fashion into performance and acts as an energy amplifier, inviting the wearer to collaborate with light and color.
