THE
FASHION EDIT
is a platform focused on the sustainability of fashion through conscious awareness of our needs as consumers and humans. We as a society have developed an insatiable mentality of “never enough” and this causes not only struggles within ourselves, it affects the world we live in. TFE is not defined by the traditional notions of sustainability. We are beyond the limiting parameters of conscious consumerism solely through materials. The Fashion Edit encourages sustainability through creativity.
AWARNESS
Our goal is to create awareness which can be supported indefinitely in terms of human impact on the environment and social responsibility to promote long-term lifestyle change and social movements needed. We must face our responsibilities to future generations, first by understanding and assimilating the proponents of conscious consumerism and how our culture of excessive materialism undermines our well-being. It’s time that we take stock in ourselves and human kind by living with our eyes open, understanding our choices and dynamic quality. When we understand our whole-selves we are able to invest in ourselves and build an ethically motivated closet. By fostering an appreciation for the works of fashion designers worldwide, we strive to inspire everyone to rethink their wardrobes.
